Mumbai – A delegation of Shiv Sena ministers but led by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis reached the national capital to press the demand for loan waiver for farmers in Maharashtra. The delegation consists of Diwakar Raote, Ramdas Kadam, Subhash Desai and Sena MLA Anil Kadam.

The Sena ministers are insisting on meeting prime minister Narendra Modi while Fadnavis advocated meeting with Union agriculture minister and finance minister. If meeting with prime minister could not be materialised the delegation may submit their memorandum of demands of these union ministers.

The meeting of ministers’ delegation in Delhi may have the repercussions in State Legislature here on Saturday as opposition parties including Shiv Sena MLAs have stalled the proceedings of Legislature demanding loan waiver for farmers. If no positive result comes out of these meetings, it may affect the presentation of state budget in Assembly. Minister of state for finance, Deepak Kesarkar, may have to experience the wrath of his party MLCs in Legislative Council in case no fruitful comes out of meetings in Delhi.
