The report of NITI Aayog has said that there is no industry-friendly environment in the state and the economic condition of the state has deteriorated. The fiscal deficit of the state has also increased. Therefore, NCP (Sharad Pawar) MP Supriya Sule demanded on Wednesday that the government should issue a white paper to bring the facts before the people regarding the economic condition of the state.

Sule said, due to the increase in fiscal deficit, Maharashtra fell from the third position to the sixth position. We used to be the first in exports, now Gujarat has overtaken us. There is no industry-friendly atmosphere in the state. The states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh have also moved ahead of Maharashtra in the industry-friendly environment. The finance minister needed to take a stronger stand to keep the financial condition of the state good. Maharashtra is in the forefront in terms of financial investment. Most of the investments coming to the state from Davos are from the state.

There was no need to go to Davos for that. Due to the lack of industry-friendly environment in the state, the industrial sector is also declining. The industry, the businessman, is being exploited, held for ransom. Due to this, financial investment is also decreasing. Despite this condition at the economic level, the social condition has also deteriorated. Sule also raised the question why no action is taken against extortionists.

How is the accused absconding even after fifty days?

We are demanding that the Santosh Deshmukh murder case and Somnath Suryavansi's death be within the framework of the Constitution. Both the families should get justice. Anil Deshmukh, Nawab Malik, Sanjay Raut arrested on hearsay, jailed. Now the leaders of all the three parties in power are demanding the resignation of Dhananjay Munde in the Deshmukh murder case. All the evidence is coming against Munde. Still he does not resign, even the Chief Minister does not accept his resignation.

Krishna Andhale, the accused in the Deshmukh murder case, has been absconding for fifty days. Why is this accused not traceable even in the age of technology? What is the state home ministry doing? It is said that the employees of Awada Company filed a police complaint and demanded extortion and exploited us. That case has been registered against Valmik Karad. Sule raised the question why ED did not take action even when the evidence against Karad was in front of everyone.

Is NITI Aayog defaming the state?

Revenue Minister Chandrasekhar Bawankule had said that Supriya Sule constantly speaks against the state and defames the state. We are opponents, they will criticise us. The NITI Aayog itself has reported that the economic and social condition of the state has deteriorated. Is NITI Aayog defaming the state now? Now Bawankule should answer this on NITI Aayog's report. Sule also mentioned that it is not because of us, then because of his government, the state is being defamed.
