Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Tuesday, March 30, informed the NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has been doing well after his gallbladder operation.

According to reports, the surgery was conducted successfully through an endoscopy. Doctor Amit Maydeo speaking with reporters said, "After conducting some tests, we decided to perform the surgery on him (Sharad Pawar) as there were some complications. The procedure was of half an hour. We will be deciding on the removal of his Gallbladder later." "His condition is fine but since the procedure was done just a while ago, so currently, he is under observation," the doctor added.

Earlier, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar's health condition deteriorated in the evening on Sunday, March 28, 2021, after which he was rushed to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital for further treatment.

Moreover, Pawar complained of stomach ache during the day and upon investigation, doctors have stated that he was diagnosed with gallbladder-related issues. Furthermore, related checkups and examinations were conducted to identify the issue.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra's Minister and NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik confirmed that Pawar was admitted to the hospital. He further took to social media to state, "Kind attention Our party President Sharad Pawar saheb was feeling a little uneasy due to a pain in his abdomen last evening and was therefore taken to Breach Candy Hospital for a check-up. Upon diagnosis, it came to light that he has a problem with his Gall Bladder. He is on Blood Thinning Medication which is now being stopped due to this issue. He will be admitted to the hospital on the 31st of March 2021 and an Endoscopy and Surgery will be conducted. Hence all his programmes stand cancelled until further notice."
