Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is yet again in the limelight for its infamous stand against non-Marathi people. Raj Thackeray-led MNS put up hoardings in parts of Thane while appealing to the residents to sell their houses only to Marathi speaking people.

The hoardings put up by MNS in Thane read: “Apla Thane-Marathi Thane (Our Thane-Marathi Thane)”. The banner features MNS leader Abhijeet Panse and party’s Thane district chief Avinash Jadhav.

A local MNS leader said that the party has been receiving complaints that Marathi-speaking people are having trouble buying or renting houses in Thane. Therefore, the MNS has appealed the same.

Earlier, there was a tussle between a Gujarati and Marathi family, living in a society, over the same issue. The Marathi family alleged that the other party committed indecency with them after which MNS leader Avinash Jadhav threatened the Gujarati and forced them to apologise.
