Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra conducted a core committee meeting on Tuesday evening to discuss the ongoing trouble in the party.

Senior BJP leaders Eknath Khadse and Pankaja Munde have expressed their disappointment with the party while accusing the leadership of sidelining them.

The meeting happened hours after Khadse met Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray fuelling speculation of him leaving the party.

Earlier, Eknath Khadse had met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar in Delhi. However, after his meeting with Thackeray, the senior BJP leader had maintained that he is not upset with the party and has not taken any decision to quit the party.

As per the media reports, after the meeting ended, BJP leader Sudhir Munganiwar informed that they had discussed the concerns of senior party leader Eknath Khadse and they will address them soon.

We have decided to hold discussions with Eknath Khadse and address his concerns. Khadse had submitted some evidence ...whoever has worked against the party will be expelled,” BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar asserted.
