Mumbai- Marathon began with fervor and enthusiasm. However, there were many who suffered dehydration and were admitted to hospitals. In total, 11 participants were admitted to hospital. Two of the participants were admitted to Bombay hospital, two participants to Hinduja hospital, and two participants to Lilavati hospital and one is admitted to Jaslok hospital. Few of them suffered dehydration, sprain and other injuries.
85 participants were seen running despite their heart surgeries. “Patients who were admitted will be released at the end of the day,” said Dr. Vijay D’silva, Director, Asian Heart Institute.
