India’s Vijender Singh and China’s Zulpikar Maimaitiali are set for an intense fight on Saturday, August 5 in Mumbai. The fight is called ‘Battleground Asia’ and carries a lot of weight as relations between India and China are a bit vulnerable at the moment.
A perfect record of 8-0-0.

Vijender has been taking digs at Zulpikar and has made a controversial comment by saying “Chinese products don’t last long,” this comment has surely not been taken lightly by the No.1 Chinese boxer. He has claimed that he will knock Vijender out in the early rounds and will show him what China is capable of.

Vijender claimed that Zulpikar is inexperienced but the truth is, Vijender has been a part of 8 bouts whereas Zulpikar has fought 9. Vijender has been underestimating the 23-year-old but let's hope the confidence helps him instead of turning against him in tomorrow’s fight.
It’s not going to be your regular fight. A lot is at stake and ‘Battleground Asia’ is surely going to be intense.
