The much spoken about AC electric buses is now set to operate from the T2 International Airport to south Mumbai upto Cuffe Parade, Monday onwards, stated an official, as quoted by the Times of India.

According to the report, the airport to south Mumbai, Gateway of India and Nariman Point, will cost a traveller INR 125 for Nehru Planetarium, INR 150 for CSMT and INR 175 for Gateway of India, Hotel Trident and Nariman Point.

In addition to this, there aren’t any luggage charges. It was recently, that the AC electric buses were initiated from the T2 airport to BKC. These buses will ply from Monday to Saturday, on the other hand, those to south Mumbai will ply on all the days.

The cost for the airport to BKC which will be till the CA Institute will be INR 75. Throughout the day, there will be an aggregate of 16 trips. For help, travellers can call the BEST helpline, 1800227550.

In addition to this, officials from the BEST have made a move from thermal energy derived from coal to solar energy. This is being done to charge the 386 fleet of buses with this, electric bus rides are now looking to run on 100% green energy.
