Mumbai: CR to run 12 special local trains on the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Day

Lakhs of Ambedkar followers from all over the country come in large numbers to pay tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar, Mumbai on the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Day which is observed on December 6. 

The Central Railway Administration has taken a big decision to avoid inconvenience to them. Central Railway will run 12 additional suburban special local trains between Parel-Kalyan and Kurla-Panvel stations on the midnight of December 5 and December 6 for the convenience of passengers on the occasion of Mahaparinirvana Day.

These Suburban Special Locals will stop at all stations. Hence, the passengers will not be inconvenienced and they will not have to face the rush.

Special local trains on the Central Railway route

- Kurla-Parel Special Local will leave Kurla at 12.45 am and reach Parel at 1.05 am
- Kalyan-Parel Special Local will leave Kalyan at 1.00 midnight and reach Parel at 2.15
- Thane-Parel Special Local will leave Thane at 2.10 midnight and reach Parel at 2.55 am
- Parel-Thane Special Local will leave Parel at 1.15 midnight and reach Thane at 1.55
- Parel-Kalyan Special Local will leave Parel at 2.25 midnight and reach Kalyan at 3.40 am
- Parel-Kurla Special Local will leave Parel at 3.05 midnight and reach Kurla at 3.20 am

Special trains on the Harbour route

- Vashi-Kurla Special Local will leave Vashi at 1.30 am and reach Kurla at 2.10 am
- Panvel-Kurla Special Local will leave Panvel at 1.40 am and reach Kurla at 2.45 am
- Vashi-Kurla Special Local will leave Vashi at 3.10 midnight and reach Kurla at 3.40 am
- Kurla-Vashi Local Special will leave Kurla at 2.30 am and reach Vashi at 3.00 am
- Kurla-Panvel Special Local will leave Kurla at 3.00 am and reach Panvel at 4.00 am
- Kurla-Vashi Local Special will leave Kurla at 4.00 am and reach Vashi at 4.35 am
