Mumbai - The railway which is considered as a helpline claims 11 lives in a single day. However, instead of working on rail accidents, they work on their advertisements. This was revealed by RTI activist Sameer
On 6 October 2004, Bombay High Court had ordered railways to build security walls on both the sides of railways. However, nothing was done of that sort. Instead of Rs. 15, 46,381 were spent on the advertorial for the inauguration of Ram Mandir station. According to Zhaveri, in the last two years, Central railways and Western railway have spent Rs. 1 crore on rail advertisements. He added that railways should use money wisely.
