The AC train services in Up and Down directions between Churchgate and Virar have been affected for the day due to technical snag. This development came days after the railways announced 31 more AC local trains. Moreover, owing to this, a new timetable came into effect from October 1.
Many commuters have complained regarding the disruption in their schedule due to this immediate change in the train timings.
In an official statement, WR said: "The following AC services in UP & Down directions over WR's Mumbai Suburban Section will run as Non-AC services on 12th October, 2022, due to a technical problem in one of the AC rakes."
Similarly, soon after the WR released this statement, netizens accused the railways and authorities of failing to provide good services to its commuters. While some suggested to keep all the locals as non-AC EMUs regularly.

Moreover, it is pertinent to note that the Western Railways (WR) has added 25 extra seats in ladies’ compartment in all non-air conditioned suburban local trains to provide comfortable and convenient journey for women.
