Last year, in November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation and called out a ban on notes of INR 500 and 1000. Reserve Bank Of India introduced INR 2000 notes and replaced the old notes in the market.
However, the following months were a little chaotic and people had mixed reactions. The PM assured of bringing in 10 and 50 rupee notes and soon, people will get to use new rupee notes. The photo of the same has gone viral.
The light blue coloured INR 50 note has a photo of Mahatma Gandhi on it. It is being said that this note will be similar to INR 2000 note with all safety features on it. The RBI has already started printing the notes.
