The common people, who are expecting proper treatment at the hands of doctors in BMC hospitals, have to face many difficulties, but the elected representatives of the public are always treated differently from the public. These representatives, elected by the public, are kept ahead of the public in the matter of basic amenities and the general public just keeps on boggling.

Dr Avinash Supe, Dean, KEM Hospital has also issued a similar order saying that in the hospital, the councillors, mayors, chairmen and group leaders are given priority in the services of the hospital. An order issued by Dean includes names of about 40 VIP people, which include the mayor, the chairman of the committee, the names of the corporators.

Talking to Mumbai Live, Dr Avinash Supe informed that these circulars are quite old and they have just released it again. In such a case, the question arises that in the government hospitals where the general public is running from one department to other. Is it right to provide facilities at a go to representatives rather than public?
