On Tuesday, December 21, morning, heavy traffic was seen on the Jogeshwari - Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) owing to an accident after a truck met with a mishap between Seepz village and Reliance energy bus stop, towards Powai, reports stated.
The BEST Bus Transport took to Twitter to elaborate, "Traffic congestion on JVLR- Accident at JVLR between Seepz village and Reliance energy bus stop in up direction (Towards POWAI). Buses of both direction are plying from Down direction carriage way from 6.15 hrs."
Later, they provided an update that the truck was removed from the spot and the traffic diversion was restored.

Several users are believed to have taken to Twitter to which the Mumbai Police replied that officials have been put in place to clear the congestion.

In other developments, in an attempt to upgrade the usual traffic signals to an intelligent traffic signal system, the BMC has decided to conduct a detailed survey of 70 traffic junctions in Mumbai. Through the 70 traffic junctions identified by the civic authority, 12 roads have been selected for this project.
Some of these roads include B A road, Senapati Bapat road, Belassis road, R A Kidwai road, Sir J J road, P D’mello road and Shahid Bhagat Singh road. A consultant will be appointed by the BMC for the project who will be expected to monitor the air quality of the area too.
