Mumbai: Nearly 10,000 Housing Societies Receive Tags Exhibiting Full Vaccination

Almost 10,000 housing societies in Mumbai have received the tag that depicts of all their eligible tenants are fully vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.

A drive that was initiated by Mumbai suburban guardian minister, Aaditya Thackeray in order to encourage full inoculation amongst locals of Mumbai is witnessing fruitful developments. According to the report by the Times of India, nearly 10,000 housing societies in Mumbai have received the tag that depicts all their eligible tenants are fully vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.

Suresh Kakani, the additional municipal commissioner has accorded to how over 10,000 societies have received their stamps of full inoculation. These stamps are in the means of a poster that are designed with a shield. It has a message that states “My Society, Responsible Society”. In addition to the logo, a QR code also comes alongside that takes users to the civic authority’s website.

The account also quoted Kakani stating that the response to the initiative has been good, with their personnel going to societies and even societies approaching the personnel. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) estimates that the island city has nearly 37,000 housing societies. Kakani, however, believes that the actual numbers could be somewhat higher.

In addition to this, on Tuesday, October 26, over 3cr citizens in Maharashtra received both their doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Amongst districts, Mumbai was leading the numbers which were followed by Pune, Thane, Nashik and Nagpur amongst others.
