The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued fresh guidelines keeping the religious, social, political, sports, entertainment, academic and cultural gatherings prohibited. The Unlock 2.0 or lockdown 6.0 is scheduled to end on July 31 midnight. The lockdown in containment zones will continue till August 31 midnight. Restrictions on the movement of individuals during the night have been lifted.

The MHA has not allowed public transport like metro to operate in order to avoid crowd gathering. The educational institutions including colleges and schools will also remain shut till August 31.
