Rajasthan Royals skipper, Ajinkya Rahane has been fined with a penalty of ₹12 lakh for maintaining a slow over rate. Rahane was sentenced with the fine at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday night for the above-mentioned reason, observed during the match against Mumbai Indians.

Rajasthan Royals, led by Rahane, have kept their hopes alive in the IPL by defeating the defending champions, Mumbai Indians by seven wickets. Jos Butler scored an unbeaten 94 to help Rajasthan win the match. This has been his fifth consecutive half-century of the season.
As per the IPL Code, this is Rahane’s first offence and so ₹12 lakh will be cut off from his salary.
