FDA to take action against contractor who served lizard

Mumbai – Food and Drugs Administration investigated Chembur’s Social Justice Department’s hostel’s kitchen and mess. FDA found out that the department is violating the norms and rules. FDA is planning to take action against the contractor as has asked to make changes in the kitchen.

On 12th February, the lizard was found in the food. Police and Social Justice Department is investigating about the same. “We will serve the notice to the contractor and within in 15 days, he will have to take steps. If he fails to make changes in the kitchen then we will take severe action against the same,” said Suresh Annapure, deputy commissioner, FDA. Meanwhile, the department will be ousting the contractor.

On Sunday Saint Eknath Government’s hostel students are suffering due to the bad quality food. They have to eat outside and they are not able to afford. “We did not get breakfast also. We can’t afford to eat outside food,” said Gorakh Ubale, student.
