An unfortunate fire which broke out at the ESIC Kamgar Hospital in Mumbai’s Andheri East caused immense chaos. Till Wednesday, the death toll of the incident was nine and close to 146 people have been injured. 

On Thursday morning, another victim named Dattu Kisam Narwade (65) died. The death toll has now increased to 10. In connection to the fire incident, the police have arrested two people – Nilesh Mehta and Nilesh Kamble and is currently interrogating four people. 

A two-month-old infant and a woman are also among the deceased in the incident. The victims are being treated at Cooper Hospital, Thackeray Hospital, Holy Spirit Hospital, Seven Hill Hospital, Hiranandani Hospital, Siddharth Hospital, and Shatabdi Hospital.

The police have investigated and inquired almost 200 people in the matter and have accused two people – Harish and Rakesh – for the fire incident.
