The State Home Ministry sources have confirmed that Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recieved two letters filled with threats. The former has been investigating since then and has tightened the security of Maha CM.

The letter mentioned about gunning down Maoists at Gadchiroli. It also mentioned that they would seek a revenge from CM, his family, and people who were involved in Gadchiroli encounter case.


What is in the letter?

“By killing us, you can’t kill our ideology. We will continue our fight supporting Marxism.” Meanwhile, the State Home Ministry is investigating the whereabouts of the letter.

In connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence, Pune police have arrested five Dalit activists - Sudhir Dhawale from Mumbai. Rona Wilson, an activist and Jawaharlal Nehru University alumnus, from Delhi, activists Shoma Sen, Mahesh Raut and lawyer Surendra Gadling from Nagpur - and have remanded to police custody till June 14, 2018. They were taken into custody for allegedly spreading controversial pamphlets and delivering hate speech under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act during an Elgaar Parishad which took place in Pune on December 31, 2017.
