Every year, the Maharashtra State Examination Council (MSEC) organises scholarship examinations for the Grade V and Grade VIII students to promote the brilliant and deserving students who excel in academics. Similarly, MSEC will hold the scholarship examinations for the students and accordingly, the state government has started taking applications for the same.

The registration procedure will be open for the applicants till December 1. After which, the Maharashtra government will hold the examinations on February 17, 2019, where MSEC will prepare a list of top 50 students with the highest scores in the examination.

The students that have secured admissions in Grade V during the academic year 2018-19 can apply online for the examinations through MSEC’s websites; www.mscepune.in and http://puppss.mscescholarshipexam.in.

The websites have started the online procedure for registration and students can fill out their application forms. The students have been provided with the deadline of December 19 to fill out the forms and students failing to do the same will get another chance to fill their forms by January 1, 2019, by paying the late fee charges.

The scholarship examinations will be a 250-mark test consisting of questions from the students’ first language subject, Mathematics, third language subject, IQ Test. The question papers for students from the two divisions will be in an objective format and will have multiple choice questions (MCQs).

The questions for the Grade V students will consist of only one correct answer amongst the four options in the MCQs whereas the Grade VIII students will have 20 per cent of the total questions with two correct answers amongst the four options and it will be mandatory for them to choose both the correct answers to attain marks for the question. ICSE and CBSE students can also apply for the examinations.
