Mumbai Live had reported earlier about Ranveer Singh opting out of the opening ceremony of Vivo Indian Premier League 2018 due to his shoulder injury. Now, we get to hear that actor Hrithik Roshan will replace the 'Gully Boy' star.


Hrithik has confirmed his presence at the opening ceremony which is to be held on April 7. “Yes, I can officially confirm that I will be performing for the opening ceremony of IPL. I have already started rehearsing for it. It will be fun to perform in front of a live audience once again”, said Hrithik in a statement.

Hrithik will perform the final act of the opening ceremony at the IPL 2018. The actor has begun his rehearsals on Tuesday along with the ace choreographer Shaimak Davar. Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra and Jacqueline Fernandez are also going to perform at the opening ceremony of IPL 2018 at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.
