After cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu was replaced on The Kapil Sharma Show, the comedian-actor Kapil Sharma broke silence on the entire controversy. Speaking at an event in Chandigarh, Sharma advised that the nation must not focus on misleading hashtags like #BoycottSidhu or #BoycottKapilSharmaShow. Instead, they should address the genuine problem.
Accordingly, Sidhu shared the video on his official Twitter handle with the hashtag:

Earlier, in interaction with media, the former cricketer had said that nations cannot be held responsible “for the dastardly acts of terrorists”. He also added that terrorists do not have a religion. After which, he was sacked from The Kapil Sharma Show owing to public outrage against Sidhu.

When asked about what action would be taken against Sidhu for his comments, Sharma said that he is not the producer of the show and so, the channel will make the final call and take a decision.
