Last year RJ Malishka’s BMC song ‘Mumbai Tula BMC War Bharosa Nahi Ka’ went viral like a storm over the internet. This year too, the radio jockey along with her Red FM colleagues has come up with a new song, which is revamped version of current sensational ‘Zingaat’. In the new single, she has referred to the potholes, unsafe roads, poor drainage systems and miserable infrastructure of the city.

The ‘Monsoon song with RJ Malishka’ is the abstract version of each and every Mumbaikar. The new lyrics are: ‘Geli Geli Mumbai Khadyaat’ which means Mumbai has fallen into the potholes. Various newspapers cuttings and photographs are used to justify the connotation of the lines. In short, the track depicts all the problems faced by the Mumbaikars during monsoons because of government’s negligence.

Last year, after Malishka had released the ‘BMC song’, a legal notice was sent by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for Dengue mosquito breeding at her Pali Naka house. Also, Red FM had received a notice in regards to the song.

Will the authorities finally wake up and make life in Mumbai a little better? Or like every year, the situation will be the same and RJ Malishka will come up with another song, trying to cast light on the major civic problems in the city?
