The 'Janakavi P. Sawalaram Smruti Puraskar,' jointly presented by the Thane Municipal Corporation and the Janakavi P. Sawalaram Art Committee, has been announced for veteran actor Uday Sabnis. Similarly, the 'Ganga-Jamuna Puraskar' will be awarded to actress Leena Bhagwat. The award ceremony, along with a program based on P. Sawalaram's songs will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 4:30 pm at Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Auditorium, Thane (West).
Organised jointly by the Thane Municipal Corporation and the Janakavi P. Sawalaram Art Committee, the awards will honour artists who have made remarkable contributions in various fields such as music, acting, education, and literature. Additionally, the 'Emerging Artist' award will be presented to encourage budding talent.

The 2024 Janakavi P. Sawalaram Award will be conferred upon veteran actor Uday Sabnis, with a prize of INR 75,000 and a memento. The Ganga-Jamuna Award will be presented to actress Leena Bhagwat, carrying a prize of INR 51,000 and a memento.
