Mumbai - The agitators who had launched hunger strike outside MHADA Bhavan from last 10 days became successful to get their demands fulfilled. The urban development department issued an ordinance on Thursday giving permission to charge the premium for the redevelopment project on the MHADA land. The agitators celebrated this by bursting crackers. This has made MHADA beneficiaries happy who were seeking redevelopment of their dilapidating buildings. The housing stock will be charged for the redevelopment of land measuring more than 2000 sq mt. As over 80%, MHADA buildings are within the limit of 2000 sq mt, the issue of redevelopment is likely to gather momentum.
