Four years ago, Ahmednagar resident Sanjay Dagle (29) came to Mumbai to feed his family. Coming from a humble background, he came to Mumbai with a dream of bagging a job. He got a job but was not happy with his salary, so he decided to sell vegetables outside Titwala railway station.

Meanwhile, he dreamt of buying his own house and applied for MHADA’s Konkan Board lottery. Fortunately, he won a house in Kalyan’s Khoni and his joy knew no bound. Dagle who currently now resides in Titwala in a rented flat, will soon shift to Kalyan and will continue selling vegetables. Elated Dagle is planning to marry as well.

Pramila Davne is another Mumbaikar whose dream of buying a house was fulfilled. 28-year-old Pramila Davne was born deaf & mute and belongs to a humble background. She completed her education from Dadar’s deaf & mute school. Later, she enrolled herself in SNDT College and secured a degree in drawing. Later, she completed an animation course and secured a job as well.




Her parents filed an application under the physical handicap category for MHADA’s house, which is situated in Virar-Bolinj area and she owns the house. She was very happy but could not express her feelings through words. Hence, she expressed her feelings via a doodle, where she drew MHADA Bhavan and expressed her happiness.

On August 25, 2018, MHADA’s Konkan board released a lottery for over 9,000 houses at MHADA headquarters at Bandra. The lottery was released by Home Minister Prakash Mehta and Education Minister Vinod Tawde. Ranjani Vyas became the first winner of the Konkan Board lottery.
