The services of the local trains in Mumbai aren’t open to all in the backdrop of coronavirus. Thus, travellers, travel associations and many local leaders are staging protests. Similarly, the BJP has now taken an aggressive stance in demanding the launch of local train services in the city, for all. Under the leadership of BJP leaders, on Friday, agitations were staged at railway stations in Mumbai.

An agitation was held outside Churchgate station under the leadership of Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Pravin Darekar. A similar action was conducted in Kandivali under the leadership of BJP MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar.

They are demanding that citizens who have been fully vaccinated should be allowed to travel by the local trains. BJP leaders and activists are chanting slogans against the MVA government. Therefore, in the midst of this, police personnel were also deployed, who arrested some BJP workers. According to reports, the agitations commenced at Churchgate, Dahisar and Ghatkopar.

On Thursday, it was reported that senior BJP office bearers, leaders and activists led by Mumbai BJP President and MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha will stage a protest against the state government at all railway stations in Mumbai from 10-11 am on Friday.
