There was a state-wide dissonance due to the Bhima Koregaon violence which was followed by Maharashtra bandh, stone pelting and vehicles were set on fire.

The Bharip Bahujan Mahasangh’s president Dr. Prakash Ambedkar said in a press conference that the state did not arrest the main conspirator of the Bhima Koregaon violence but is busy carrying out the pointless combing operation.

As part of this operation, a 16-year-old boy was put behind the bars. It is a wrong thing, said Ambedkar. He added that the state should abort such type of combing operation.

CM should keep his word

On January 1, 2018, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis had promised that he would do something for the protestors. But he did not do anything, said Pednekar.

Police are nabbing juveniles in the name of a combing operation and are being presented in the juvenile court. CM should keep his word and should stop the combing operation.”

He also said that instead of arresting the main conspirators of the Bhima-Koregaon violence i.e. Sambhaji Bhide and Milind Ekbote, the state government is after young boys.
