Amidst the ongoing tensions between India and China at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, as per reports, China has been spying on India's top political leaders as well as senior military officials.

According to sources, about 1,350 people which includes President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Leader of the Opposition, Chief Ministers of several states and Chief Justices, are being spied on.

Besides the ministers, it has also been learnt that the Chinese firm is monitoring bureaucrats in key positions, judges, scientists and academicians along with journalists, actors and sportspersons, religious figures and activists. Moreover, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, director Sham Benegal are being spied on as well.

A Shenzen-based company named Zhenhua Data Information Technology Co. Limited has been tasked with monitoring over 10,000 prominent citizens. The company's job is to keep an eye on other countries. As a result, it can be estimated that the company is keeping an eye not only on India but also on other countries as well.

On the other hand, a total of 24 current Chief Ministers, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik are also said to be under surveillance. The list also includes 16 former Chief Ministers.
