Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha poll in Mumbai scheduled on April 29, Congress MLA Kalidas Kolambkar on Wednesday was seen supporting Shiv Sena candidate Rahul Shewale, who is contesting from city’s South Central seat, at the former’s office.
Earlier, Kolambkar openly expressed his dissatisfaction with the Congress and has admitted that he will join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the coming days. Kolambkar had also said that he will campaign for Shiv Sena and BJP alliance in the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
The speculations suggest that Kolambkar will join BJP ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. Kolambkar is a six-time MLA from Wadala-Naingaon constituency.

In order to start campaigning for Shiv Sena and BJP alliance, Kolambkar awaits a go-ahead from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Earlier, the senior Congress MLA has openly praised CM Fadnavis.
