Amid the political crisis brewing in Maharashtra, with senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde along with 13 of his MLAs has been uncommunicable since last night following the results of the MLC elections, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar conducted a press conference.

Herein he stated that Shinde never conveyed to them that he wishes to become the Chief Minister. He added that this is an internal issue of the Shiv Sena and extended his support irrespective of what they decide to do. Pawar remarked that there is no need for any change in the government.

During the press meet in Delhi, Pawar mentioned that he is confident Uddhav Thackeray will be able to handle the matter. The NCP Supremo reportedly uttered that there isn't any need for the leadership to change in Maharashtra, as this is an internal issue of one party.

He voiced that he is waiting for a message from Thackeray. Pawar went on to declare that his party was ready to sit in the opposition but would not support BJP.

Speaking on the MLC elections results, wherein cross-voting is suspected to have transpired, Pawar pronounced that even if cross-voting takes place in Council elections the government remains intact. Moreover, he is confident that a way will be found in the present situation

Pawar brought to light that in accordance with the arrangement, the post of the CM is with Shiv Sena, thus, it is an internal issue if Thackeray will remain or introduce a new face.

Additionally, he said that this is the third such incident that has happened in the past two and half years. He went on to add that all of NCP's MLAs voted for them in the MLC elections.

On the other hand, in the meeting called at Varsha by Thackeray, accounts claim 18 of 55 legislators were in attendance. Narratives allege that during this meeting, Shiv Sena decided to remove Shinde from the Legislative party group leader after he left for Surat. He has allegedly been replaced by another legislator Ajay Chaudhary.
