Byculla- The restructuring of civic wards by the BMC prior to elections to the municipal body has hit E ward hard. Initially, E Ward consisted of 202, 203, 204, 205,206, 207, 208, 209 blocks but now will comprise blocks 207,208,209,210,211,212 and 213.
These are the major changes to E-Ward
- Block 204 has been restructured into blocks 204 and 207
- 205 has been dissolved from the ward
- 210 is the newly introduced ward reserved for women from backward castes
- Congress corporator Manoj Jamsutkar's current ward 208 converted into reserved ward
- Jamsutkar's wife will contest elections from ward 208 while he will contest from ward 213
- A few areas of ward 203 have been incorporated into ward numbers 207 and 208
