ED Now Attaches Properties Of "This" Shiv Sena leader In Connection With Rs 1,034 cr Scam Case

According to the latest reports, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut's property in connection with an INR 1,034 crore Patra Chawl land scam case.

Raut's Alibaug plot as well as one flat in Dadar, Mumbai has reportedly been attached. 

An update followed from the ED which remarked that the body provisionally attached assets totaling INR 11.15 crore, in form of  land held by Pravin Raut, ex-director of Guru Ashish Construction Pvt Ltd, a Dadar flat of Varsha Raut, wife of Sanjay Raut and Alibaug plots jointly held by Varsha Raut and Swapna Patkar, wife of Sujit Patkar, highlighted narratives.

Following this, Raut while interacting with the media persons remarked that he is not one to get scared. He challenged the authority to seize his property, shoot him or send him to jail, adding that he is Balasaheb Thackeray's follower and a Shiv Sainik, therefore, he'll fight and expose everyone. Raut commented that he will not stay quiet and said that they can dance, but the truth will prevail.

This comes in the aftermath of Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil remarking that the state government has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the allegations of corruption levelled against the ED, highlighted narratives.

Earlier, Raut had questioned why the central agencies were targeting some states such as Maharashtra. Raut went on to allege that some ED officials are contesting elections on BJP’s ticket. 

The ED had recently, provisionally attached 11 flats of Mumbai-based Pushpak Bullion which is a real estate project developed by a company promoted by Shridhar Madhav Patankar, the brother-in-law of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray
