Thousands of farmers reached Mumbai on Monday morning after a long march which began on March 6, 2018, in Nashik, bare feet. Many of the farmers suffered injuries, yet, they continued their long march. One such farmer was Sakhu Bai whose feet were bleeding but she did not stop. When she was asked if she was feeling any pain, she reverts that she was hurt because of false promises.



Though she is unable to walk due to the injury, she is determined that she will not stop walking until farmers like her get justice.

At around 5:00 am, farmers reached Azad Maidan who ended their six-day long march. Many of the farmers suffered dehydration, vomiting, headache, and body ache. On Monday, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, around 700 farmer protestors were treated for their injuries. Apart from these, four got critically injured, who were then admitted to J J Hospital and one was admitted to St. George Hospital. Also, Thane’s Civil Hospital’s doctor Dr. Sanjay Wathore informed that they also treated farmers in their ambulance.

The farmers started off their long march on March 6, 2018, which began from Nashik. The long march was led by Left-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Sabha (ABKS). They also received the support from the Peasants and Workers Party and CPI.
