There is a distinct possibility that Maharashtra politics could change its course in the next few days. It is being said that well known political figure, better known as ‘Dada’ in political circles, might just return to his home pitch.
This politician has proved his mettle in the recently held local body elections in the state. He was once loyal to the Shiv Sena, but when he left the party, he was heavily criticised by the Sena president Uddhav Thackeray. However, now this ambitious political figure appears to have made up his mind to return to the party's fold.
According to sources, this politician, often known for his aggressive nature, has now mellowed down. He knows it very well that joining Shiv Sena will not be child's play anymore. He is using all the tricks in the book to return to the party, we learn. He is planning to join the Sena with 15 MLAs loyal to him. Some time ago, he had tried to woo Uddhav Thackeray with the help of a spiritual guru but his efforts went in vain.
Prior to the Shiv Sena, he had tried his luck with the Bharatiya Janata Party as well. BJP national president Amit Shah was ready to have him on board but ‘Dada’ was not happy with the offer BJP extended, and dropped his idea.
He is now leaving no stone unturned in his efforts to rejoin the Shiv Sena. His supporters firmly believe that Dada will use all his might and has a cast iron will at his disposal to cross all the hurdles to crack the Shiv Sena.
The question is - will the tiger allow him back in its den?
