Picturesuqe Raj Bhavan has one more thing to be proud of. Governor Vidyasagar Rao discovered 150 meters of bunker benath the Raj Bhavan. This bunker boasts 13 spacious rooms with 20 feet long steel doors. On 12 th august governor made the discovery. On 12th of August 2016, wall was brought down and there was standing 150 meters long and vast bunker. It is said that, Britisher’s had constructed this bunker for the safety of Prince of Vales who was scheduled to visit Mumbai in 1875. Later, from 1885, this place was christened as Raj Bhavan and bunker was used for secret meetings and important discussions.
