Mumbai - Maharashtra Education minister Vinod Tawade cleared the air saying that Mumbai High Court has not snub off state government over Maratha reservation PIL’s. He added that state government was ready to file affidavit regarding Maratha reservation. Though Central Government is ready with the statistics of population, bifurcation according to the caste is not done. When this is done, affidavit will be filed accordingly. He further added that they are ready for the hearing but as they don’t have the proper statistics, they have asked for 4 weeks of extension.
