On Wednesday, May 4, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut while commenting on the loudspeaker ultimatum given by MNS Chief Raj Thackeray that ends today remarked that there is peace in Maharashtra and no protests are happening in the state. 

Raut further commented that there are no illegal loudspeakers running in Maharashtra. According to him, Bal Thackeray and Veer Savarkar taught Hindutva to India. Raut added that the Shiv Sena's school of Hindutva is original. 

The situation in Maharashtra has been heated over the past few days owing to Thackeray's call to the state government to remove loudspeakers atop mosques throughout the state by May 3.

Amid this, security has been heightened across places of worship in the state. Similarly, Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey on Wednesday morning was on a round at various police stations in the city to inspect the law and order situation in Mumbai

In the midst of these occurrences, security has been heightened outside the residence of Thackeray who spearheaded the loudspeaker row. Moreover, to ensure that the law and order situation in the state doesn't go out of hand, the Mumbai Police issued a notice to Thackeray under section 149 CrPc.

Similarly, several MNS leaders have either been detained or have been issued notices. On Tuesday, May 3, Thackeray in a letter urged people to play the Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers if they hear the azaan.

case has been registered in against the MNS Chief and the organisers of the public rally wherein he delivered a speech on May 1.
