After Shiv Sean’s attack on Congress via its editorial published in ‘Saamana’, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has come forward to abash the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra.

BJP leader Ram Kadam accused the MVA government of infighting amid the coronavirus pandemic saying that it has been indifferent to COVID-19 crisis as patients were dying due to lack of hospital beds.

On Tuesday, Shiv Sena compared Congress with an old cot that yawps ever now and then while accusing it of creating an atmosphere of instability amid the fight against coronavirus.

In an editorial published in ‘Saamana’, Sena attacked the Congress leadership in Maharashtra and said that these heavyweights should remember that Thackeray was elected as the Chief Minister and his decision is final in all matters. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and his leaders are not squeaking like Congress, it added.

Reacting to this, Kadam took a jibe at the MVA government saying that even when Maharashtra was becoming China they were busy with infighting. “Is there any self-respect left in Congress and NCP?” Kadam asked while referring to the editorial published in Saamana.

“They are talking about a noise-making bed but unfortunately are not concerned about patients dying in Maharashtra due to lack of beds in hospitals,” he said.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Health Department recently added 1,328 ‘missing’ deaths due to COVID-19. Stating that the truth is finally out, senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday pointed out that 862 COVID-19 deaths in Mumbai alone were declared and 466 in other districts.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra has risen up to 1,13,445 while the toll has crossed the 60,000-mark in Mumbai alone with 60,228 COVID-19 cases. Mumbai reported 3,167 fresh cases on Tuesday.
