On Friday, November 12, morning, Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray underwent cervical spine surgery at the HN Reliance Hospital in Girgaum in Mumbai, highlighted reports. A statement was then released by the Chief Minister's Office, stating that Thackeray is stable.

It quoted spine surgeon Dr Shekhar Bhojraj and Thackeray's cardiologist, Dr Ajit Desai, adding that the CM has now been shifted to a room.

According to certain accounts, it is anticipated that he will be discharged in a day or two from the hospital. Shiv Sena Chief Spokesperson Sanjay Raut whilst interacting with the media elucidated on how the CM was operated on for the issue and the procedure has been a success.

The Chief Minister is believed to have been going through back and neck pain for the past few days and was also seen wearing a neck brace this week. After the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, it was reported that he went to the hospital and was admitted

Based on reports, the CM since the past few years during the COVID-19 pandemic was suffering from neck issues but ignored it. This is believed to have aggravated leading the doctors to advise him a "proper treatment".
