Maharashtra State Health Minister Rajesh Tope's mother Shardatai Tope, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020. She was suffering from a prolonged illness and was admitted at a hospital in Mumbai. She was 75.
Office of Uddhav Thackeray took to Twitter to share the news and stated that despite his mother being at the hospital for over a few months, Rajesh Tope held his position strongly and worked hard during these tough times, helping Maharashtra fight against coronavirus (COVID-19)
आरोग्यमंत्री @rajeshtope11 जी यांच्या मातोश्री शारदाताई यांच्या निधनाची बातमी ऐकून दुःख झाले. काही महिन्यांपासून त्या रुग्णालयात असताना देखील राजेश टोपे जी यांनी कोरोनाविरुद्ध लढून महाराष्ट्राची काळजी घेतली. शारदाताई टोपे यांच्या आत्म्यास चिरशांती लाभो हिच ईश्वरचरणी प्रार्थना🙏🏼

Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and NCP chief Jayant Patil also offered his condolences.
As per reports, the final rites will take place at Ankushnagar, Ambad, Jalna at 4 pm, on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
