Independent MP Navneet Kaur Rana and her husband Ravi Rana have been tested positive for the coronavirus. Navneet Kaur is an independent MP from Amravati and her husband is a three-time MLA representing the Badnera assembly constituency.
The couple has tested COVID-19 positive days after a dozen of their family members and some aides tested positive for the coronavirus. Earlier, Ravi Rana’s father, mother, son and a daughter along with six other family members tested positive. Now, the Rana couple has also tested positive.
Navneet Kaur Rana has appealed those who came in close contact with her to get themselves tested for the coronavirus. She tested positive while taking care of her children and other family members who tested positive earlier. The Rana family is currently undergoing treatment and has been isolated.
Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also tested positive for the coronavirus and was being treated at a private hospital in Gurgaon. In Maharashtra, six cabinet ministers in the Uddhav Thackeray government have tested positive for COVID-19.
Maharashtra Minister Sanjay Bansode tested COVID-19 positive and was getting treatment for COVID-19 at a private hospital in Mumbai city. He is the Minister of State (MoS) for Environment, Water Supply and Public Works in the Uddhav Thackeray cabinet.
Two weeks ago, Maharashtra Minister for Fisheries, Aslam Shaikh also tested positive for the coronavirus. Meanwhile, Jitendra Awhad, Ashok Chavan and Dhananjay Munde have recovered from the coronavirus and have taken charge of their ministerial work.
