Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Raosaheb Danve Patil on Monday lashed out at the opposition while refuting the charges of carrying out “Operation Lotus”.

Danve Patil said that Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut will be admitted to mental hospital soon. This comes after Raut alleged that the BJP is indulged in horse-trading.

While talking to the media, Danve said that they have enough MLAs to prove the majority and were not threatening any MLA.

...Raut’s allegations are false, after a few days he will have to be sent to a mental hospital,” said Patil.

The senior BJP leader also stated that Ajit Pawar is the NCP Legislature party leader and has the authority to carry out the whip during the floor test. "...the NCP MLAs will have to follow his lead," said Danve Patil.

NCP had earlier elected Jayant Patil replacing Ajit Pawar from the responsibility and submitted the letter regarding the same to Maharashtra Governor. However, BJP says that the move to remove Ajit Pawar as NCP Legislature Party leader is invalid.

Earlier in the day, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut had alleged that BJP was carrying out ‘Operation Lotus’ in Maharashtra and four agencies including the Central Bureau of Investigation, Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department have been given the task to do so.

In a surprise twist, BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis took oath as Maharashtra Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar became Deputy Chief Minister on November 23.

However, NCP chief Sharad Pawar clarified that it was Ajit Pawar’s decision to join hands with the BJP and not NCP’s.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) along with Congress and Shiv Sena on Monday morning stake claim to form government in Maharashtra and submitted support letters to Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
