Hearing against Ravindra Waikar in gymnasium case

The case was heard in the Maharashtra Lokayukta on Thursday in connection with the state-wide gymnasium in the tribal area of Aare Colony against Minister of State for Housing Ravindra Waikar. The case against Waikar has been filed by Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam. During the hearing on Thursday, Nirupam appeared before Lokayukta along with his lawyer Pradyuman Waghmare.

After the hearing, Nirupam said in a statement issued to the media that during the hearing before the Lokayukta, it came to the fact that for the local people in Aarey's AdivasiPada, the government had a plan to make a gym, but the commercial use of the gymnasium and its surroundings, no kind of construction was allowed. Despite this, its gymnasium was commercialised. There were illegal constructions in the name of different concepts. After this Lokayukta asked the then Executive Engineer of MHADA Arvind Joshi to make an affidavit with all the disclosures about this? The next hearing of this case will be on May 2.
