Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray recently took a jibe on the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance and stated that they are running with taat-vatya (plate and bowl) going around and begging people.

Thackeray was addressing a rally in Nashik where he was drawing reference from the manifesto that was released by Shiv Sena and BJP last week. The manifesto states that Shiv Sena will provide meals at ₹10 and BJP will provide it at ₹5 in the nearest Zunka Bhakar Kendra. 

He further said that the state of Maharashtra is not begging them for providing food at such low costs. He also said that the government has failed to provide jobs and find a solution for the economic slowdown and therefore is diverting the attention of the voters by providing these things.
