Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's beloved dog 'James' passed away on Monday, June 28. The Great Dane was 12-years-old and was said to be the MNS Chief's most loved.

He was 12 years of age and had a natural, age-related death. This morning, on June 29, Raj Thackeray along with his family bid adieu to James.

According to reports, the family held the last rites of the Great Dane near the Camp Office of the Maharashtra Animal and Fisheries University, Nagpur.

He had made headlines in August 2015 when he bit Thackeray’s wife Sharmila on her face. Sharmila had received 65 stitches post that incident. The MNS chief’s wife had to even undergo emergency surgery.

Notably, Bond resided away from the family at Karjat farmhouse after he reportedly bit Raj Thackeray's wife Sharmila Thackeray. Several photos of Raj Thackery and his dogs were regularly shared on social media.
