In another setback, senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Bhaskar Jadhav joined Shiv Sena on Friday in the presence of party chief Uddhav Thackeray at the latter’s residence.
Shiv Sena leaders Sanjay Raut and Neelam Gorhe were also present during the induction of the senior leader into the party. Along with Jadhav, several of his supporters also joined Shiv Sena.
Jadhav has maintained his stronghold in the Konkan region and has served as a former minister for labour in Maharashtra government. The senior leader started his political career from Shiv Sena and joined NCP later after some issue.
I have left NCP without making any allegations against the party leader. I had left Shiv Sena due to some issue. However, I was a Shiv Sainik then and I am one now,” Jadhav said after his induction into Shiv Sena.
