After media got its hand on the letter written by Shiv Smarak Samiti President Vinayak Mete exposing economic errors in the project, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Dhananjay Munde has alleged corruption in the same. 

In the letter written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Mete has mentioned that there are economic irregularities and errors related to the tender process of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial.

Demanding an investigation into the matter, Mete wrote that the concerned officials should be suspended and action shall be taken against them. Dhananjay Munde has also asked for a judicial investigation over the same demanding to cancel the contract. 

Reacting to the letter, Munde criticised CM Fadnavis and his government for not taking any action despite possessing such serious information. Alleging the state government of being corrupt, Munde said that Maharashtra government has insulted 11 crore devotees demanding that the tender shall be cancelled immediately.
