On Tuesday, senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Member of Parliament, Supriya Sule, raised an issue that Dombivli passengers have been dealing with since the last few years. Daughter of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Sule expressed concerns over the issue of lack of punctuality and overcrowding on Dombivli fast trains of Central Railways in Parliament. Alongside, she also demanded to increase the frequency of Dombivli locals.

Tweeting about the same, Sule said,

Meanwhile, Sule's letter in the Lok Sabha stated that she wanted to express concern about the lack of local trains starting Dombivli. The letter also added that a local train between Dombivli and CSMT, which had started a few months ago, does not begin from Dombivli and instead starts from a locality near Kalyan. Due to which, the train is extremely crowded by the time it reaches Dombivli, leaving no seating space, for the locals of Dombivli.

Emphasising the issue of lack of punctuality of these local trains, Sule said,

There are also issues being faced by the local trains stopping at long haul platforms and causing confusion among passengers and the lack of punctuality of the local train. Despite many complaints being made to railway officials, no action has been taken in this regard. I would like to raise this urgent concern this zero hour.”
